Lips as red as rose, skin as white as snow She waits for trues loves kiss from the king of rock n roll He had been out gigging where the tickets don’t come cheap So we all dance together in the Necromancers dream Reanimated shadows play a pentatonic line Where delta souls decay but we still clap in time Blues is blue and death is black and somewhere in-between We All dance together in the Necromancers dream Death came long and slow to the lady we all know she climbs no more stairs and the watchtower stands alone Ask the wood to speak to stone and the stone to speak to sky to ask the Raven king for what he hides Ask the wood to speak to stone, stone to speak to sky to ask the raven king for what he hides

Chocolate on My Tongue (free) 04:19
Lyrics by The Wood Brothers Sittin' on the front porch Ice cream in my hand Meltin' in the sun All that chocolate on my tongue And that's good enough reason to live Good enough reason to live Sittin' in the bathtub Hi-fi playin' low Diggin' all that green Well you must know what I mean And that's good enough reason to live Good enough reason to live If I die young At least I got some chocolate on my tongue If I die young 'Least I got some chocolate on my tongue Sittin' in the front seat Good girl in my arms Smilin' in my eyes Gettin' me all hypnotized

Whiskey leave me alone, Whiskey leave me alone Cause I’m tired and I wanna to go home Tell me I’ll be alright Tell me one last time I’ll be fine, this is goodbye Remember when we were young all of the songs we sung, Carried me away, carried me away Whiskey leave me alone, Whiskey leave me alone, Cause I’m tired and I wanna go home Whiskey: I come when you call Her: You took it all Whiskey: I catch your fall Her: Undeniable I have your heart and there’s no tearin’ us apart Her: I wanna be free Whiskey: Baby you need me Her: I’m broken you see Whiskey: I’m the missing piece Is there someone there who can bring me relief Whiskey: Maybe you need to think Her: I just need to think Whiskey: I have just the thing Her: What could it be Above all your friends it’s me that you choose Whiskey leave me alone, Whiskey leave me alone Cause I’m tired and I wanna to go home

Superstition 04:15
You dont believe in superstition If you hang around in my position You wouldn’t stick to your decision very long Been around I’ve seen some things, I know just what it is to lose everything But we dont care, we dont think we dont believe And I’m gone...again I play along...again Been around I’ve seen some things I know just what it is to have everything But the apple is ripe, a taste is all you need Take another trip just to find Just to find that tiny piece of mind Something to help something to ease the score And I’m gone...again I play along...again And I know that you’ve been searching for Searching for the truth But you will lose your mind trying to find The labyrinths secret door Crees que este es tu ultima Ultima danza Pero el fin nunca se encuantra Buscas para siempre And you will lose your mind trying to find it And I’m gone...again I play along...again

Air so sweet I can taste the sage on the breeze As fresh rain falls in the East it sighs in relief Releasing perfume in the sky that’s bending over me That marks the bluest blue… that I have ever seen Head thrown back with the sun That’s pouring over me Like something I could have dreamed I fill my lungs again Dancing shadows seen on the desert floor A smoky vision appears through an open door It calls me deeper in… than I have ever been. Chorus Please, wont you say your mine I fell in love looking in your eyes Children of the sun unite Making love under the desert sky I follow the sirens song across this sea of sand Her turquoise eyes consume the thirst of every man Choya flower blooms in her open hand She places the moon in the sky with her other and Indian blanket shawl... from her shoulders fall Oh wont you say your mine I found love looking in your eyes Children of the sun unite Turquoise eyes have me hypnotized I’ve never been so high I found love looking in your eyes Children of the sun unite Making love under the desert sky

about

About the EP:
After the death of Gleewood’s brother-in-law and drummer, Josh Landry, Jhett Black and Callie Sioux set out to compile a series of songs dedicated to the challenges of addiction and mental illness. Since then, Gleewood has maintained a revolving door of talent from the South West. With reckless tenacity, Gleewood traversed Europe and the US in support of their second, self-released album ‘Sweet, Sweet, Time’ dropped in late 2016. The album was later picked up by independent label in France (M & O Music) who distributed a Deluxe Edition 2018. With intermittent recording spread between Belgium, their home state of New Mexico, and where they now reside in Nashville, TN, Jhett and Callie Sioux again have determined to self publish their third release to complete a vision set in motion 4 years ago. This chapter is titled Necromancer’s Dream.

The title of the album prepares you for the ironic and melancholy traverse that opens with their heaviest rock song as the first track titled, ‘Rock ‘N’ Roll Is Dead.’ From psych-groove to blues ballad, murder folk, to anthem, Necromancer’s Dream holds loosly to the roots of the project while obiously stretching their legs creatively with each song. There is a transcendental presence of the desert and wide open spaces that resides in the atmosphere of what could be a very dark album, but the moonlight bouncing off the gypsum sand of southern New Mexico makes it hard for the darkness to overpower a landscape of promise. Gleewood covers ‘Chocolate On My Tongue’ by The Wood Brothers as an honor to their influence as well as a way to take a seemingly harmless, major-key bluegrass tune, and continue to slather overdriven irony with their down-tempo minor blues version.
